Several manufacturers require field RMA's (Return Manufacturer Authorization) and/or applicable documentation to troubleshoot and/or process warranty related issues and must be contacted directly by the customer. When contacting the manufacturer to receive RMA's, customers are advised to provide the manufacturer with proof of purchase, and their complete contact information including company name, contact person, phone number, email address, etc. as well as the first and last name / contact info of their Meyer sales rep / return point person. Return requests direct with the vendor and/or Meyer may require additional information such as proof of purchase within the warranty time line and providing pictures of the parts needing to be returned. Concealed Damage claims must provide pictures of packaging condition & product with return request.
Below is the current list of manufacturers requiring the customer to contact the vendor directly to troubleshoot issues in the field. RMA's may be given in the field to our customer or upon request from Meyer Distributing. The RMA is authorization only to return the part(s) for warranty review and does not constitute a warranty credit. Missing parts do not constitute a warranty issue and must be handled in the field. NEVER return any used fuel tank or transfer tank that has previously contained hazardous material (including fuel) in them. Vendor will need to facilitate field destroy or pick up on the used fuel or transfer tank.
